While development of Karisma v4 is progressing rapidly, v3 is still receiving the benefit of valuable new features. Kestral has responded to customer feedback and added new functionality to v3 to provide convenience and improved workflow.
The addition of a single screen for adding a practitioner, while registering a request, means clerical staff can enter new referring practitioners in a much simpler and more efficient manner. One single dialog encompasses the practitioner record, practitioner location, provider number and distribution options. The combined dialog will save time and effort for users interacting with practitioner records throughout Karisma.
Improvements have also been made to the diary. Allocation of multiple step services now occurs automatically. When a request with a multiple step service is scheduled, the diary will review the applicable rules and automatically allocate the appropriate time slots for each step – across multiple rooms and resources. This new feature will be of particular benefit to sites that perform Nuclear Medicine services.
For installations where multiple business entities are using a single instance of Karisma, the new security role “Restrict Access to Owning Financial Group” might be beneficial. This option restricts the ability of users to view and access data from other financial groups to which they do not belong. A number of screens are affected by the new option,; including requests, invoices, payments and invoice and payment batches.
These improvements will no doubt deliver efficiency advances and save time for our customers using Karisma v3. If you are interested in these new features, please talk to your Kestral Account Manager to discuss an upgrade.
