Kestral Welcomes The Royal Children's Hospital
August 2011
Recently celebrating its 140th anniversary, The
Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne (RCH) is Victoria’s major
specialist paediatric hospital. With close to 4000 highly skilled
staff throughout the organisation, the RCH extends a range of
clinical services, from primary to quaternary level care and health
promotion programs to children and young people across Victoria, New
South Wales, Tasmania and the world. The RCH provides a full range of diagnostic
imaging services including multi-slice computed tomography, MRI,
ultrasound, fluoroscopy, computed radiography and digital
subtraction angiography. All imaging modalities acquire images in a
digital format. The digital images are stored in a central server
and are easily viewed in the Medical Imaging Department using a high
resolution monitor, the wards and even remotely away from the RCH
campus. RCH Medical Imaging has now been transitioned
from Kestral’s legacy RMS product to Karisma. In a project involving
staff from both organisations, Kestral staff appreciated the help of
the RCH. The outstanding efforts of RCH staff played a pivotal role
in the timely completion of this project and Kestral would like to
thank all of those involved. The RCH has been a valued Kestral client since
its RMS installation went live in November of 1998. Kestral looks
forward to working with the RCH Medical Imaging staff for many more
years to come. |
