Kestral welcomes Northland District Health Board,
Northland NZ
February 2008
Consisting of four hospitals with a combined total of 328 beds,
Northland
District Health Board provides health and disability services to
the 150,000 plus population of Te Tai Tokerau (Northland) in New
Zealand. More than 2000 staff members offer acute mental health and
other services from Maternity to Occupational Therapy and beyond.
Kestral implementation staff have completed installation at NDHB of
a dedicated Karisma system which is integrated with the
organisation’s existing Philips iSite and Sectra Mammo PACS. Prior
to implementing Karisma, integration with the PACS was not possible
for NDBH. The newly
installed Karisma system will streamline workflow across all sites,
with the data centre located at Whangarei.
To ensure that users were able to immediately implement the new
system with the highest level of efficiency, training was provided
on-site by experienced and specialist Kestral staff. Programmers too
were on hand at Kestral to ensure the smooth transition from the
previous system to the new and improved Karisma installation.
Northland District Health Board performs a vital and commendable
role in providing essential healthcare to the community of Te Tai
Tokerau. Kestral is delighted to play a small part in the day-to-day
operation of this outstanding organisation. For more information on the features and benefits of Karisma, see the Karisma page. Back
