Kestral recently launched Karisma’s latest feature, the Business Report Studio, at the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) conference in Adelaide. RANZCR, now in its 60th year, was created to enhance the knowledge of contemporaries in the fields of Radiology and Radiation Oncology.

At RANZCR 2008, Kestral heralded the release of the Business Report Studio with an informative brochure and technical poster displaying the concepts and inner workings of the BRS database.  

At the Kestral stand, Director Kevin Moynihan was on hand to demonstrate the almost limitless capacity of the BRS to obtain information from the Karisma database - with over 150,000 individual relationships between items of data defined.

Also demonstrated to both potential and current clients was Karisma’s extensive Voice Recognition capabilities, which allow hands-free navigation of the system, and the ability to drive dictation, reporting and imaging requirements seamlessly and effectively.  

Feedback on the Business Reports Studio from radiologists, radiographers and practice managers at the conference was overwhelmingly positive and Kestral were pleased with the earnest exchange of ideas and general open atmosphere at our conference stand.

Philips, global healthcare leader, assisted Kestral with deploying our demonstrations and displays by providing the use of their outstanding PACS workstation with display monitors. The Philips workstation enabled Kestral to demonstrate the integration between Karisma and the industry-leading PACS from Philips – a system successfully employed by Kestral customers across Australia and New Zealand.

One Karisma client, referring to the wealth of information provided by the BRS, has since said “I could get lost in this and never come back”. The excitement came from the knowledge that details of referral patterns were at the fingertips of the right people across his entire organisation.
