Kestral at ASMMIRT 2011
May 2011
Kestral was recently in attendance as a sponsor
and participant in the 8th Annual Scientific Meeting of Medical
Imaging and Radiation Therapists (ASMMIRT) at the Adelaide
Convention Centre, located in the Adelaide CBD by the River Torrens. The aim of ASMMIRT is to bring together a range
of CT and MRI radiographers for a programme dedicated to knowledge
where they can compare techniques - and diagnostic radiographers and
radiation therapists can learn more about each other’s roles to
facilitate a smooth planning of treatment for patients. The
conference offers professionals exciting learning opportunities
alongside social events for rest and recreation. In attendance at the Kestral booth for ASMMIRT
this year were Andrew Waddingham, Lyn Gannon and Karin McCullough.
From the booth, they were given a fantastic opportunity to showcase
the comprehensive functionality and features in the latest version
of Karisma, including Order Entry and Patient Recalls. Attendees of
the conference displayed a good deal of interest in Karisma, but
also in the novelty stress relief bones and card holders offered at
the booth – with word spreading quickly and attracting more
visitors. Andrew Waddingham says, “We were very proud to be a sponsor of this
event, which enabled us to showcase Karisma to a different medical
imaging demographic. Having the opportunity to mix with a large
number of students gave us great exposure to the potential decision
makers of tomorrow … and the stress bones were a hit!” Kestral would like to thank the organisers of
ASMMIRT and the people who came to see Karisma in action. We see
conferences such as this which bring Health professionals together
and give them a chance to exchange ideas, as a valuable experience
of which we enjoy being a part. |
